Our curriculum focuses on helping students to become independent learners. We emphasize on the development of individual thought process.

KINDERGARDEN AND PRIMARY WING

Kinder gardeners explore their love for reading that helped each child to develop the skill of reading fluently and correctly. Story telling witnessed conceptual learning with the development of speaking skills. Art as an integral part of the learning process helped the students to understand and express their emotions towards festivals like New Year, Pongal, Ugadi, Dasara, Diwali, Id and Christmas. Every month special events are performed where parents enthusiastically participate in all the school activities to enhance their bond with the children and school.

Primary school covers a period of five years – Grades 1 to 5 and the curriculum has been designed to creatively prepare students to be adaptable for the later stages of their education while allowing them to cherish their childhood experiences. The focus is on Activity-based learning which kindles the spirit of exploration and helps to acquire sound language skills, clarity of mathematical concepts and understanding of scientific concepts. Learning is enriched by a number of activities like Nature walk, drama, story-telling, conversation, music, discussions and a wide range of artistic and hands-on activities.

 

HIGH SCHOOL

The CBSE prescribed NCERT text books are followed from classes VI-X. Apart from this, We include in our curriculum include additional subjects like Computer Science, Moral Instruction through ‘Leader In Me’ Programme, IIT classes to lead the students into the competitive world through a strong foundation of General knowledge with current affairs.

 

Academic and co-curricular activities go hand in hand giving prior preference to academics. Languages are mainly concentrated on developing LSRW skill in the students. To enhance subject enrichment some of the activities conducted in languages are elocution, essay writing, role play, debate, calligraphy, singing (patriotic songs), spell bee, story writing and poem reciting and JAM sessions. ILM faculty help the students to develop their communications skills.

 

Maths Club helps students to enhance their math skills, this club helps students to grasp mathematical concepts better through activities like puzzles, shortcuts in calculations etc.

Practical and activity-based teaching will be done in science. Apart from Lab activities various programmes like plantation, health and hygiene, seminars, orientations were conducted by eco club. A short film taken on the theme “Energy conservation “got selected in State level this year.

In social science apart from academics, mock assemblies were conducted and regularly students were updated with currents affairs through quiz.

Information technology is offered as an additional 6th subject for the students of 9th and 10th.

Art Integrated Learning has been a hallmark of the school as per the norms of the CBSE. Art and craft faculty play a major role in teaching the techniques to draw various figures and help them to complete their projects successfully.

Competitions and academic activities that go beyond the textbooks and the classrooms encourages a healthy and competitive spirit and effective communication skills in the students. The activities are conducted at classroom level, school level and inter-house level.

Physical fitness is considered equally important to mental fitness. We stress on physical education and encourage children to pick up multiple sports. These activities provide a platform for a child to acquire leadership skills and help to shape their character.

All these activities promotes life skills, teaching personal responsibility in each student to become better citizens and human beings.

Our curriculum framework helps students to be interested and engaged with academics and co-curricular activities. The projects given are capable to apply learning to the real world, inculcate interest in subjects and learn the concepts in a meaningful way. The assessments are done where they can use their learning to demonstrate mastery of each concept.

 

The strong link between our scholastic and co-scholastic activities help children to build their confidence, self esteem and to develop time management and organizational skills.
